Online Learning

We have come across many projects, some in schools, which follow a pattern: they receive funding to kit out a music production and/or media facility; taking advice from an independent source, they then take delivery of equipment and have it installed. However, the equipment soon becomes unusable through lack of maintenance, the software not being updated or personnel not knowing how to use it.
Making use of computers with internet access already at your school (or a City Learning Centre), Point Blank has developed an online music mixer application, Music Machine, which sits at the centre of a social hub website, a community for your students. Young people can easily create their own tracks in a variety of styles and listen to, rate and comment on the work of others. No software purchase, installation or maintenance is required and it's fun and easy-to-use. If you'd like to see an example of a version of Music Machine in action please visit we built for Orange Telecommunications at http://mixer.orange.co.uk/index.php and click ‘Start Mixing' where you can see it in action.
