Thames Gateway - Point Blank and The Creative Way

Point Blank and The Creative Way recently hosted an event to sign a number of progression agreements with fellow members of The Creative Way network.

Point Blank will provide a unique progression route through Higher Education and employment opportunities within the music industry, for learners who are looking for an alternative route within mainstream education after completing college. Students from four colleges in the Thames Gateway area; Newham Sixth Form College, BSix College, Barking College and Lewisham College will be guaranteed interviews to Point Blank’s HNC Music Production Course. Those that successfully complete the course will gain automatic entry to the final two years of the Creative Music Tech degree at Canterbury Christchurch University. A programme of tasters and demonstrations at the colleges, followed by open days and workshops at Point Blank will help promote the newly created progression pathway.

You can find out more about the The Creative Way’s development themes at their website or read an interview with Geoff, who recently completed the HNC Music Production course, by clicking here.
