"Wow what a couple of weeks - I think this is the start of something pretty significant! Please give a big thank you to your tutors - they were great! I think all of them really enjoyed the experience of working with such talented and enthusiastic kids." - Saskia Helman, Arts Manager, London Borough of Bexley

After weeks of auditions and talent-scouting across the borough, 2nd Round BexFactor participants have been selected to take part in further specialist Point Blank masterclasses in preparation for  performing live at the Dansun music festival. They were chosen for their raw talent and strong desire to work in the music industry. As part of the BexFactor talent development project, Point Blank delivered four accredited courses over the Easter holidays, at Welling and Erith Schools in Bexley.

Spread over two weeks, Point Blank's tutors provided Music Production and Singing & Songwriting training to over 50 dedicated and enthusiastic young people; vocalists received extra tips from Grammy nominee Phil Ramocon, and musicians also received additional tutoring in a variety of instruments throughout the session. The most motivated of these young people will now move to the next phase of the project, which will see them taking vocal and instrument masterclasses, recording demos, and performing live on stage at a major festival with Jocelyn Brown!

Phil Ramocon (talent scout and vocal mentor): "I was amazed at the talent and motivation on display, and truly impressed by their enthusiasm and hard work. I look forward to working further with such incredible young people. The final performance at the Dansun Festival is going to be memorable, and I'm thrilled to be a part of this wonderful project."

Eddy Cantor (Singing & Songwriting tutor): "I was absolutely blown away by the pure natural ability... bonds made throughout the course are already bearing fruit and some of them have already formed writing and performing groups. I can't wait to hear them again and look forward to future visits to see their progress, through this wonderful programme that is desperately needed."

Greg: "Bex Factor was a refreshingly professional experience with some of the best talent I have seen in 3 years of working with young people."
