On the Web Construction course, learners of all abilities gain practical insight into the techniques, equipment and software involved in producing a website. Using Dreamweaver and Photoshop, participants learn how to organise, plan and create a website in which they can they learn how to add text, images and flash animation.

Course Breakdown

  •  Introduction to web construction and the importance of planning.
  •  Introduction to web organisation. Utilise organisation method to create flow diagram of planned site.
  •  Introduction to HTML and Dreamweaver basic tools.
  •  Using text in Dreamweaver. Introduction to CSS styles.
  •  Introduction to image file formats. Learn how to insert and modify an image in Dreamweaver.
  •  Introduction to Flash buttons and text. Create and edit a Flash button and insert some Flash text.
  •  Create a navigation bar in Dreamweaver. Introduction to tables in Dreamweaver.
  •  Create and alter frames in Dreamweaver. Add content to a frame.
  •  Completion of web site. Introduction to web hosting.
  •  Learn how to Publish a website via FTP and publicise the site online.

This OCN LR course is worth 3 credits (30 hours of learning) at Levels 1, 2 & 3

 

Diploma Delivery
