Case Study: Goodwin Trust - Adult Media Skills
The Goodwin Trust is a large charity in Hull. When a team of their youth leaders wanted to learn how to use media to engage the young people in their care, Point Blank came up with a bespoke package to suit their exact needs. Choosing from a longer list of subject areas, the concept we created for them was as follows:
In a three day period, taking in a weekend to fit in with Goodwin's work commitments, Point Blank supplied industry experts in Music Production, Digital Art and Video Editing. The Goodwin team each made a music track on day one, created a CD cover for it on day two, and then made a music video/documentary - "a rockumentary if you will" - on the last day. By all accounts it was a highly enjoyable experience all round as you can no doubt tell from from the products created on the course which you can see below in Student Work. The main outcome was that the youth leaders can now pass their knowledge on to the young people in their charge. Point Blank MD Jules Brookes popped in on the project to see how it was going and had this to say:
"I was really impressed with standard of the work created by the Goodwin Team - they got completely involved and the results speak for themselves."
