Acting for Film & TV

‘Acting for Film and Television' is a ten-session course, with each session lasting three hours. Using our highly experienced lecturers and state-of-the-art technology and software, we will introduce young people to the power of central performance on film including training and techniques from industry professionals who are at the top of their trade such as David Harewood (Blood Diamond)  and Tracy Ann Oberman (East Enders). Along the way, students will see some of the most compelling clips in modern film taken from films such as: Star Wars, Taxi Driver and Raging Bull.

Students work together in pairs on their chosen scene learning key skills and techniques leading to a final performance which will be filmed and screened in front of the group. Skills learnt include the following

  • The eyeline

Each student receives a copy of their final scene which they will use as a showreel to demonstrate to casting directors & agents their commercial potential as an actor for film & television.
