Case Study: Birmingham Youth Service - Songwriting Workshop

Birmingham Youth Service arranged a visit to Point Blank Music College to take part in a weekend Singing and Songwriting workshop. Under the expert tuition of Derek Chai who has performed and written with many major artists such as D:Ream, and talented singer songwriter Eddie Cantor, students learnt how to break a song down into its separate elements, the various instruments involved, harmony and rhythm and how to construct their own song. Using the state of the art facilities at Point Blank Music College participants even got to record their vocals in a professional studio environment.
