Case Study: London Borough of Enfield - MC Skillz

Based in Bush Hill library in Enfield, the premise behind this project was to ignite the interest of local young people in their library, as a pilot for a Big Lottery application of £1 million to rebuild the library, managed and written by Point Blank. To this end we held a series of MC workshops with expert tutor Farma G! from Task Force at the controls. The young MCs learnt how to perfect their lyrical flow and enhance their performance skills as well as improve their technical skills. There was a positive vibe throughout and the young people involved enjoyed interacting with other youths they would not ordinarily meet. The funding application was successful and the library is currently being rebuilt! Watch the video.
