Case Study: Film-Making - CARE Partnership

Point Blank received funding from the CARE partnership, Charlton Athletic's Race Equality initiative to deliver a film production course for young people of diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds. These young people worked collaboratively to create a film conveying a strong message of race equality. The use of film was a new direction for the CARE partnership, who usually provide sports-based activities. However the course complemented the sports-based work well and was a resounding success. The highlight for the young people was seeing their film screened at half-time at The Valley, Charlton Athletic's football ground, to over 25,000 football fans. The film has also been used at various conferences to promote the CARE partnership's work.
