Case Study: Film Making - Waltham Forest SCS

In 2008, Point Blank’s film professionals worked with young people from Waltham Forest to produce a documentary highlighting their views on the borough. The film was commissioned by the Council to help improve their Sustainable Community Strategy. Participants were encouraged to use a variety of techniques to present their views, as well as the views of other young people they interviewed throughout the film. This project not only helped inform the Council’s Sustainable Community Strategy, but also provided young people with training from film professionals, accreditation, practical experience and an awareness of progression routes within the industry. Their video forms part of a permanent exhibition at Waltham Forest Town Hall.
