Case Study: City YMCA - Radio Workshop London

In March 2009, Point Blank designed and installed a radio studio at City YMCA’s newly refurbished Drum facility. This tied in with radio training that Point Blank has been delivering at City YMCA since 2007. Learners are given the skills to plan, create, record and edit their own radio shows, using the nearby marketplace as a valuable source of vox pops!

Since passing Point Blank’s accredited radio course, one participant has been offered a show on her local youth station, and reported that this was the best radio course she had ever taken.

Point Blank continues its work with City YMCA, and also provides Music Production training alongside the Radio Production courses, offering valuable skills and achievable progression routes for all participants.
