About Point Blank

Point Blank was established in 1994 by CEO Robert Cowan as a commercial recording studio. Now it employs 22 full-time employees and 100+ freelance creative and media tutors. We have a fully equipped state-of-the-art college in Hackney which is renowned throughout the world as a centre of music production excellence netting us the 'Best Music Production and DJ School' award six years in a row at the prestigious industry T-Scan Awards hosted by DJ Magazine.
Responding to the needs of young people who wanted to attend the college but could not afford the fees, Point Blank has created a Community/Learning department. Over the years we have worked with hundreds of organisations to provide courses and activities for young people, which you can see if you click on 'Partners' at the right hand side of this page.
Along the way, Point Blank has also partnered with various corporates such as Orange Telecommunications, First Choice, Bacardi, BT and others. These relationships continue to this day and in many cases provide progression routes for Point Blank students which you can see detailed at the right hand side of this page.
Point Blank is proud to be a member of the Centre for Social Justice Alliance, whose mission is to highlight the work of profoundly differing and unique small organisations that provide a significant contribution to the reversal of social breakdown in the UK.
Our Team is fresh and bright, constantly endeavouring to provide engaging and fun activities for young people. These have also been specifically created in response to the requests of the participants.
